Current situation in Syria seems to be peaceful and safe as compared with neighboring Egypt, Lybia and Tunisia. Amnesty that's been announced in the beginning of march has lowered the level of civil resentment. Government forces keep breaking up not so crowded protest demonstrations of people inspired by the Middle East revolutions.
